Wondering about the Management Training Program? That’s good! The following are the most frequently asked questions we get. We hope they help you. If you have other questions, please send them to HR@mauriceelectric.com. We’ll get right back to you.
1. Do you Need Experience?
No, you don’t. We’ll give you the tools and resources you need to become an industry expert.
2. What do you do?
We purchase electrical supplies and equipment from manufacturers and supply them to customers.
3. Why are electrical distributors needed instead of going right through the manufacturer?
Our customers need many different electrical materials. We offer one, convenient local stop for our customers, who, rather than having to work through multiple suppliers, can use a single line of credit.
We’re extremely knowledgeable about a wide range of products, so we can serve as business partners to our customers.
4. Where is the training?
The training takes place at our corporate headquarters in Landover MD.
5. Is this a paid training program?
Yes. Our training program is essentially a full-time position that includes benefits such as paid sick/vacation/holiday time, 401K and medical, dental and vision insurance.
6. How long is the program?
The program lasts approximately 12-18 months dependent on skill set, experience, capacity and progress at the discretion of the mentor.
7. Why is the program so long?
Maurice Electric’s management training program trains you to run all aspects of the business as if you’re an owner — not just a manager of operations.
8. What are the hours?
You can expect to work 8-9 hour days, Monday-Friday, usually 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Some weekend work may be required for special projects, but it is rare.
9. When I complete the program, would I still be an employee?
Yes. Once you complete the training, you will have the opportunity to be placed anywhere throughout the organization, in an area in which a managerial role is needed. You will have continuous opportunity as an employee of Maurice Electrical to fill a number of positions you have been trained for as the need arises.
